From the most recent racial issue, all I notice is people fighting - TopicsExpress

From the most recent racial issue, all I notice is people fighting amongst themselves to prove superiority, regardless as an individual or an organisation. Instead of a genuine battle for justice and rights of the races, it is more often than not, a show of bravery or status in society. Why do I say this? Because on a personal note, I honestly do not see any form of UNITY amongst our very own Indian Community. Each time such an issue arises; various views, opinions and comments are made on social medias such as “PDRM won’t take any action” or “What action is a certain political party taking” or “law won’t warrant for an action” and the list just goes on. How many actually takes the extra step to proceed with a higher course of action? It is the right of every citizen to lodge a police report for such issues under the “Akta Hasutan”. Authorities can only take stern actions against such individuals, provided there are a substantial number of reports lodged to act on. Instead, we have our people who only “reports” on social media’s LIKE and COMMENT, then, wash their hands off. Some have the habit of depending on political parties (MIC, PPP, PKR, DAP) and NGOs, like as if it is their belief that only these parties and organisations have the rights to deal with the issue. Come on guys, we are all in one community here, the Indian Community. As united as we stand during our Religious Celebrations, we can most definitely stand united to stop all this unwanted remarks/post by certain individuals who seems to have nothing better to do but to create a racial issue. We need not stoop down to their level by making comments out of anger and fighting back in a harsher manner. Jeevithan P. Ganasan, Chairman of Malaysian Young Leaders Association-MYLA ( Northern Region branch )
