From the ruckus that just took place on my porch, its getting to be that time of year: if you have an intact cat (male OR female), keep them indoors. If you have a problem with cats howling/spraying/etc. on your property, Animal Control rents (with a deposit) humane live traps. If youre missing your cat, be sure to check the Wichita Animal Shelter - they will only hold an animal for 72 hours. There are several low-cost options for getting your cat (or dog, for that matter) spay/neutered. KHS has income requirements for theirs, but also has a list of vets who provide the service, and who may not have the same requirements.
