From todays Wetumpka Herald: Syck was noticeably quieter - TopicsExpress

From todays Wetumpka Herald: Syck was noticeably quieter than he had been during his campaign, which Franklin noted as being visible, vocal, and negative. This race was the first race Ive run where a candidate got very negative, Franklin said. I didnt appreciate it and I dont see a need to spread malicious untruths. Franklin recalled past elections in which his opponents were cordial and friendly, but this campaign took a negative direction. If you know Bill Franklin, at all, you know that those few words said a mouthful. Mr. Syck indeed left an impression on Elmore County, but I dont believe it is the one he wanted. It is important to note that Mr. Sycks campaign was designed, funded and managed by the Constitution Party of Alabama. So the legacy of the most negative Sheriffs campaign in the history of Elmore County belongs to them as well.
