Las Cruces CVA Coordinator writes, We are particularly interested that our young current-conflict vets, their families, friends and pets attend this event. Las Cruces CVA will provide a deluxe charter bus and round trip to Albuquerque for this event. All the information about the event is at summertour2014/ CVA needs your help in conducting a simple 5-question telephone survey on veterans’ issues Wednesday June 4 and Thursday June 5. Note that calls can be made throughout the day from 9AM to 8PM, not just in the evening. Because there are a lot of CVA volunteers outside of New Mexico helping make these calls we need to get logged in early and make our calls as soon as possible. Please keep track of how long you make calls because when you have made 4-hours of calls you will be provided free food, transportation, and admission into the Madison Rising Concert in Albuquerque on June 19. It is all FREE to all those who turn in 4 hours of phone calls and e-mail/letter writing during our Days of Action Wednesday June 4 and Thursday June 5. Both nights we will continue to apply pressure to Senator Harry Reid and Senator Bernie Sanders, asking each to move S.2013 to the Senate floor for a vote. If you do not have 4 hours of calls you can purchase a round trip ticket for $35 per person and enjoy the free food and entertainment event, too. I plan to offer more hands-on experience of the material. As soon as I have more work done on it Ill describe it more fully and offer it without charge. The previous workshops went well. I would like to see more people write more letters to the Editor, Op-Ed pieces and articles to express ones point of view. To win our battle we must tell others what we think and persuade them to our point of view. Most of us already know how to write a good letter. I see that in most of the e-mails I receive and the number of newsletters that have been lately started. What we need to know is how to offer our views in a way that makes an editor publish it. I plan to give you some tips on how to do that. ===###===
