From what I am gathering from social media prophets and preachers, Otieno Kajwang died because he took the name of the Lord in vain (apparently he said even God cannot stop the referendum) I may not know how to interpret the bible in the correct context but somewhere I read in the book of Ephesians that honoring and respecting our parents is the first commandment with a promise, which is longevity. Besides, the book of Exodus gives us 10 commandments that we are to abide by. Let us assume that Kajwang was guilty of 1 of them-taking the name of the Lord in vain; does it mean you are perfect on the other 9? And while at that, prophets and preachers, which sin could have caused the Kapedo massacre?
