Front Desk Medical Receptionist (High Volume Center City Medical Practice) HIGH VOLUME cardiovascular medical practice is currently seeking a full time, EXPERIENCED, LONG TERM, NON SMOKING, friendly, self-reliant persons for the positions of Front Desk Medical Receptionist. This is a great opportunity for someone to utilize his or her communication skills in a professional FAST PACED/HIGH VOLUME work environment. Ideal candidate must be confident within a patient-focused atmosphere, upbeat, and thrive within a teamwork based setting. Individual must have a professional appearance and be capable of maintaining composure in a fast paced environment with a meticulous attention to detail. You must have sustainable medical experience, and the ability to multitask effectively and work independently when necessary. Applicant must be familiar with basic computer knowledge. If you do not excel within a FAST PACED ENVIORNMENT with EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH CALL VOLUME, please do not apply. Front Desk Medical Receptionist-- The EXPERIENCED candidate is REQUIRED to be familiar with medical terminology, medical insurance and patient referrals and pre-certifications. Experience with Navinet is preferred. The individual will be responsible for the performing the following but not limited to Front Desk duties: 1. Greet and check in patients according to the practice workflow in a courteous and pleasant manner 2. Verify/update patient demographics and copy insurance information 3. Collect co-pay and enter arrival time and co pay into system. Print fee slip. 4. Obtain corresponding referral and pre-authorization information from the patient. 5. Ability to prepare charts for new patients, label appropriately and place pertinent patient information within chart. 6. Work collaboratively in a small office environment as a team player 7. Be aware of the waiting room, and help with patient flow to decrease patient wait times 8. Ability to be aware of incoming calls, while assisting co workers when needed 9. Answer phone calls in a professional manner 10. Take accurate phone messages, ensuring all messages are clear and concise 11. Transfer phone calls to physicians when needed. Ability to decipher which phone calls require immediate attention. 12. Answer phone calls within 3 rings.
