Front Office Customer Service Administrator Cape Town, Western Cape UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (ICTS) FRONT OFFICE CUSTOMER SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR Information & Communication Technology Services (ICTS) provides ICT services to the University community. The Customer Services division (CSD) offers desktop support and training to UCT staff and post-graduate students. CSD is responsible for the Helpdesk, a walk-in Front Office, student computing labs and provides an acquisition and installation facility. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and organised person to join our Front Office Team which supports staff and students with their basic ICT needs in a walk-in facility. Responsibilities include: Assisting staff and students to configure their ICT equipment so that it connects to the UCT network and meets UCTs security criteria Basic Windows and Apple Mac support and troubleshooting Virus troubleshooting and repair Receiving and returning computer hardware for repair and logging/updating calls as needed in the Call Management System Resetting customer passwords and assisting customer to set up password management Greeting and directing customers to the appropriate service points Issuing software loans Running various self-help facilities. Requirements include: Grade 12 or technical equivalent Current A+ qualification or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service position in an ICT environment Strong customer service ethic Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software, with strong troubleshooting skills in both a Windows and Apple Mac environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken) Being able to work in a team and under pressure. The remuneration package, including benefits is negotiable between R203 905 and R239 896 per annum depending on qualification and experience.
