Fruitful In All Things - Thursday June 5th, 2014 - Pastor Chris That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10). This is Gods desire for you: He wants you to live an exemplary life, so fruitful in every good work that others would testify of Gods goodness in your life. The Word declares in Psalms 1:1-3 (GNT), Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do. This is Gods testimony of you, and similar to what the Lord Jesus said in John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit.... If you were already exuberant with praise to read that, then wait until you read the sixteenth verse. It says, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain.... The Lord Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches. That means were His extension, His glory and beauty. The glory of any plant is in the branches, for thats the fruit-bearing part of the vine. If Jesus, therefore, is the Vine, and we are the branches, it means His glory is seen in us; His fruits are borne by us. This is one of the signs that youre a Christian: being fruitful and productive in all things! Otherwise, your salvation, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, will be called to question. Its our heritage to be fruitful in all things! It makes no difference whats been assigned to you, you can superimpose the quality and content of your spirit on it, causing it to prosper and excel. Someone may ask, How do I become fruitful in all that I do? Its by increasing in the knowledge of Gods Word. Live the Word. Programme your spirit with the Word through meditation, and the result will be your prosperity and success! CONFESSION: Im fruitful and productive in all things because I live the Word! As I meditate on the Word today, the glory of God increases in my life, and my profiting is evident, in Jesus Name. Amen.
