Fuel tins like these are a common sight in old abandoned camps - TopicsExpress

Fuel tins like these are a common sight in old abandoned camps littered throughout the interior of Alaska. In a park this large, we often rely on back country travelers to tell us of any garbage or abandoned equipment they come across. We then ascertain whether it is trash or a historic artifact before removing it from the landscape. If you see anything of note while in the park, please take a photo (and a GPS reading if possible) and send it to us. Rangers LOVE hauling out trash from the park! Seriously. They really do. :) ~DL
