Full Military Funeral Service will be held for the late Oscar Leroy Sands, Superintendent of Police at 10:00 am on Friday, 16th August, 2013 at the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Baillou Hill Road South. The service will be conducted by Rev. Andrew Stuart, assisted by Father Stephen Davies, Police Force Chaplain and Education Officer and other members of the Clergy. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bethell Brothers Morticians, Nassau Street. Interment will follow at Wood Lawn Gardens Cemetery, Wood Lawn Way. He is survived by his wife and two children. Superintendent Sands remains will repose in the Foyer of the Paul Farquharson Conference Centre, Police headquarters on Thursday 15th August 2013 from 9:00 am until 6:00pm. On Thursday 15th August 2013 at 8:30 am, the body of the late Oscar Sands will be escorted from Bethel Brothers Mortician Nassau Street and will travel north on Nassau Street to West Bay Street, east on West Bay Street to Marlborough Street, east on Marlborough Street to Navy Lion Road, north on Navy Lion Road to Bay Street east on Bay Street to Parliament Street, south on Parliament Street to East Hill Street, east on East Hill Street to East Street, south on East Street to The Paul Farquharson Conference Center, Police Headquarters for viewing by Officials, Senior and Junior Officers. Public Viewing will begin at 12:00noon until 6:00pm.
