Full Moon Lightning.. This was a shot taken last year in September at around 3am out in the Darling Downs region of QLD, Australia in an area called Cecil Plains. These storms were moving close to 100km/h and were going past like rockets! This was a 90 second open exposure that caught a couple of the bolts.. the clear area between the clouds appears blue and almost like daylight because of the moon illuminating the sky with 90 seconds of moonlight... and the blur in the clouds shows how quickly these storms were moving within that time.
