Full Moon Minglewood Rising - Nov 22nd Charlottetown, PE at the Brewery. Long time friends and musicians Sam Moon & Matt Minglewood have quite the musical history. The Cape Breton duo are no strangers on the Canadian touring circuit. They started performing together in ‘69 in a band called ‘Sam Moon, Matt Minglewood & the Universal Power’. When the band disbanded they went on to form the ‘Moon Minglewood Band’ but in ‘73 they went their separate ways musically. Matt had one foot steeped in the musical roots of blues and the other knee-deep in country & rock while Sam had one foot steeped in R&B & the other in folk while both loved to rock. Finally, 40 plus years later they have teamed up to present a musical reunion tour called ‘Full Moon Minglewood Rising’. Joining Matt & Sam on stage for the full band show will be Matt’s crack band: Moon McInnis (drums), Emily Dingwall (bass) and Jeff Stapleton doing the honors on keyboards ready to move the crowd to its feet at the first bar. Shuffling and swinging like nobody’s business, the band will have you enjoying Matt & Sam’s classics such as ‘Cold Sweat’ and ‘East Coast Blues’. Fans will be thrilled to have Matt & Sam rev up their high octane stage show for a special performance to celebrate their one and only reunion since ‘73 in ‘Full Moon Minglewood Rising”.
