Full Moon in Gemini Gemini Full Moon: Saturday Dec. 6, 2014, 10:27 pst Sun at 14.18 Sagittarius, Moon at 14.18 Gemini Mercury 14° Sagittarius Hekate 13° Sagittarius Ceres 16° Sagitttarius The Full Moon is upon us. And while the year is ending and we feel Sol pulling us downward into the fertile womb of Winter Solstice... Geminis energy is initiating us in all things communication. Inviting us to PLAY one last time before the olde year closes! As with all full moons, our Sun at 14° Sagittarius will move into an exact opposition with the Moon in Gemini at 14° on Saturday the 6th, of December. These opposites create an energetic alchemical field in which we have the potential and nature’s support to evolve consciousness within ourselves and the World by reconciling the opposites. The Sagittarius-Gemini polarity represents the 3-9 Axis of the Mind in astrology and our charts. Sagittarius represents our right brain synthesizing functions, while Gemini represents our left-brain linear functions. In this moment, our Solar nature in Sagittarius is activating our intuition, while the Gemini Full Moon is activating our unique way of communication. Both have their shadows. Gemini urges us to think critically, gather as MUCH information as we can about everything we are curious about... and chat it up with everyone we know and love... sometimes incessantly and disconnected from deeper feelings. Gemini also represents the trickster of the mind... our dark twin who loves to poke and prod our sensitivities, like a teasing brother, until we figure out what is going on and say STOP IT to our neverending brain chatter! and draw fierce boundaries around self condemning thoughts. Sagittarius symbolizes the humans quest for meaning... a perfect energy for this time of the year when we are being called to consider what IS sacred for us? It holds ideas that expand upon the “here and now”. It synthesizes and connects the dots of what our left brain has gathered and fashions it into a whole knowing vision. This is where epiphanies and gnosis occur. One of the shadows of Sagittarius is when our intuition is based on erroneous impressions gathered by our cognitive biases (one of Geminis favorite phrases), rather than on clean unbiased information based on true knowledge and wisdom. This can steer us in the wrong direction under the guise of following our intuition. These two aspects of ourselves are meant to work together, each supporting the other to gift us with health and well being of our Mind. Right brain/left brain. Feminine/Masculine. When woven together into our life tapestry they give birth to the Sacred Marriage of the Whole Mind within us. Gemini: How We Communicate Matters. Full Moons always expose the creaturas of the Night. Some are friendly and playful, like Geminis nature. Others need to be ferreted out for the dangers they cause. This full moon is calling us to expose our shadows around communication. Are we passive aggressive? Do we become hurt and pull away without ever communicating how we feel. In more distant relationships, this may be okay. But with ones we love, it is vital that we have mature communication, heart to heart... without blame, yet speaking our truth. ALlllllllll things communication are ruled by Mercury and Gemini. What are your forms of communication? Written. Spoken. Poetry. Lyrics. Music. We allllllll communicate. We all have our unique ways. Play and reflect more deeply on your own forms... and shadows which are seeking to be made known. So at this Full Moon, unpack your mind! Look to where the 3-9 axis, the Houses Gemini and Sagittarius rule, is in your chart. What planets reside there? where Does Gemini live in your chart? Sag? Mercury? Jupiter... the ruler of Sagittarius? These are the archetypes that are dancing in our midst. We are indeed being followed by our moonshadows. Catch them if you can! https://youtube/watch?v=hr0rDW5j1KU
