Full Moon this Monday AND …. Full moon eclipse update - An exciting full moon for April! Its the first of 4 consecutive full moon ECLIPSES in 6-month intervals. This is called a TETRAD. The moon eclipses every 6 months on average, but most of the time these are just partial eclipses and not always noticeable. But these 4 full moon eclipses will all not only be visible, but watchable from most of North America. How often does this 4-in-a-row thing happen, you ask? From 1600-1900 there were no tetrads. In the 20th century there were 5. In the 21st century there will be 9. So not that often. Might want to consider setting that alarm and stepping outside for a few minutes to check it out. The moon will turn RED in the early hours of April 15 (overnight Monday into Tuesday). The eclipse begins at 2:00 a.m. EST, best viewing is from 3:00 a.m. EST for about an hour. Heres to clear skies!
