Full coverage of what really happened - Megan Leslie Yesterday in Question Period I asked (again) when the government was going to regulate emissions coming from the oil and gas sector, and, unexpectedly, the Prime Minister decided to answer my question. When he did, I was pretty sure he said they wouldnt. I got back up a few questions later to clarify, and the PM got up again, and said it would be crazy to regulate. Except that this crazy idea was a promise he made first in 2006, and every year since. And whats crazy is not acting. Whats crazy is the cost of inaction, the amount we will have to pay to deal with extreme weather events. Whats crazy is the fact that major emitters, including China and the US, are on track to meet their targets. Crazy.
