Full time CPT location constraint OPT/CPT Blast Resume to 2500+ employers via bit.ly/18niNwb Hi DesiOPT team,Ive been a regular follower of your facebook page. You guys are doing a wonderful job in sharing the complex immigration rules and helping fellow International students. Keep up the good work and hope you will continue doing it. Could you please help me with my below scenario. Im in last semester (Fall 2014) with 3 credits left for which Im doing a Masters project. Im planning to work on Full time CPT through a consultancy. My DSO has agreed to my CPT application but said Ive to find a job near my university for non-summer semester. When I dig deep, she said that technically, my employer has to be from a location near my university and they dont usually do micro management regarding in which location I actually work. She hinted me that my offer letter and payroll should be from a location near my university and rest all may not matter. But she also warned me that just in case if USCIS get to know that Im working in a different state then Id be in a problem. My professor has said that I can communicate through emails and complete the project. My chances of working with a client near my university are bleak. Im really confused on how to go with this (since she spoke with a double tongue). My consultancy is assuring me that no problem would occur, but Im skeptical. 1.Could you please suggest me out of your experience hearing such scenarios or if anyone faced a similar situation. Thanks in advance !! It would be a great help.
