Fun Fact Sunday: Both of these pictures are of a Sourwood tree. It turns red in the fall and spring and in the summer, is green and in bloom. Sourwood honey in Sweet. But if you tasted the leaf of the Sourwood, it would be sour. Sourwood trees only grow in the Appalachians. the honey is lighter and has a uniquely good taste. Its name on a honey label can be deceiving if you didnt know how good the sweet honey tastes. : ) ...with Douglas Mikell on the farm.
