Fun Fact: You are probably wasting your time in college. 12.5% of recent college graduates are unemployed. Of the 87.5% of college graduates that do have a job, 48% are working in fields that do not require a 4-year degree. Well, that still puts me ahead of people without college degrees, who have an unemployment rate of 24%. You think, stroking your Bachlors of Psychology and holding back tears before your shift and the Cheese Cake Factory. Well youre wrong. If youd gotten a degree like economics you would know about a term called opportunity cost which is the overall cost of making one investment over another. Spending time in college reduces the amount of hours you can work, immediate desirability as an employee, and sleep. You know this because your co-worker at the Cheese Cake Factory has a masters in economics and he told you about it while you both scraped gum off the tables in zone 6.
