Fun at the 2014 Volunteer Christmas Party!! --- A great time - TopicsExpress

Fun at the 2014 Volunteer Christmas Party!! --- A great time was had by all! Lots of food & drink, a trivia contest, a pet photo contest, and most importantly, camaraderie among a group of very special people who make sacrifices and give of themselves all year long to make life better for the animals. From our Executive Director, Melissa Smith: Dear Volunteers, About last night... what a great evening! Thank you for sharing your time (and cooking talents) with everyone. Furthermore, thank you for your dedication to our shelter throughout the year. By donating your time and energy, you make our shelter pets more comfortable, our fundraising efforts more successful, and our shelter a better place. You are valued and appreciated. Keep up the great work. There are so many furry faces who are counting on you. Melissa --- Interested in becoming a volunteer? Volunteering at the York County SPCA is fun, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. And it means the world to the animals in our care! After involving yourself for the first time and experiencing the energy and spirit of our mission here at the shelter, you will look forward to returning regularly to give your time and energy. Walk dogs, spend time with cats, help in the laundry room, help with data entry and paperwork, prepare and staff events - whatever you choose, your time will be appreciated! For those of you who cannot participate in routine volunteer activities such as dog-walking, we encourage you to become involved in our outreach and fundraising events. We hold approximately 50 outreach & fundraising events yearly, and we need your help to prepare for and staff these events.
