Fun day at the retinal macular Institute in Torrance California today. Luckily had some symptoms 2 days ago and was smart enough to get to a retinal specialist quickly. Averted major eye surgery by only just a few hours or days as retinal tears were threatening complete detachment. On the spot laser surgery was able to repair my eye. I just had that surgery done 10 months ago at Toronto Western Hospital by Dr Mendelcorn, the resident retina specialist. Apparently he wasnt aggressive enough with his repair the first time and it could have cost me my eyesight in my right eye. Growing up with socialized medicine all my life I dont remember it being that poor in quality. That seems to be the epidemic in the medical world in Canada lately. If its free but it sucks what good is it really?
