Fun fact....our relatively tiny galaxy contains roughly 100 billion stars, including our very own sun. Despite its relatively tiny size, its sheer actual size is difficult for our minds to fathom. Yet our galaxy of 100 billion stars is but one of hundreds of billions of galaxies in the known universe, a universe that had long been argued to be infinite. However, with the recent discovery of gravitational waves and their impact on the theory of inflationary cosmology, our known, seemingly infinite universe, may in fact be but a small bubble in a tiny corner of something much, much bigger, and may be just one of countless other universes; the multiverse. Doesnt theoretical physics just make your brain hurt? Mine too!
