Fun time tonight celebrating dads 76th birthday. Cant thank everyone enough for coming! We would have celebrated his 75th last year but we were all in Charleston with Stone for the last leg of recovery before coming home. I cant say enough about how much I love this man and admire him. He is my in house pastor, doctor, healer, psychiatrist, mentor, and teacher. It just so happens I get to call him my dad. He has fought for this country as a fighter pilot and flight surgeon saving lives over there while keeping lives safe here. He has many sayings we grew up hearing, but to be honest they most of the time went in one ear and out the other. But last August as I wandered those hallways of MUSC they all started making sense. They became the thing I held onto everyday. He held me up when I couldnt stand for fear of my whole world caving in. No matter how negative I thought a piece of news was about Stone he turned it into a positive. Saying that this has to happen for such and such to happen, it will be alright, Gods got this. It was his wisdom and faith that has made me who I am today. Both my parents have molded me in different ways. Dad gave me the greatest gift you can give your child...salvation. He showed my who Christ was through him. So I wish him the very bestest birthday today even though its not until the 15th! We love you! Thank you for giving us kids the best of you!
