Fundamentalism on its base is not unpeaceful and nasty. The thing - TopicsExpress

Fundamentalism on its base is not unpeaceful and nasty. The thing is when you try to change the fundamentals to your ease or try to please others with some sort of innovation or change the concept because of your limited knowledge to cope up with science and the society. And once it is done, you cant go back to its original base. This is what exactly happened to most of the religions especially Christianity. Bible must have been a error free book since it claims its from God and Quran reconfirms that. But it failed to stick to its fundamentals and historians afraid of the society for the science it held in its original format. Those periods were very tough to the scientists. Scientists were killed by the kings. Hence authorities of Christianity changed the verses for good cause. But unfortunately it is held against the religion today. To me, Fundamentalism is the pure form of religion as far as the religions are concerned.
