Fundamentalism, political or religious, is top down dogma, that attempts to control the masses by invoking FEAR of losing a spiritual connection. Ideologues try to persuade you that the weeds that need to be extracted are external scape goats, etc. The best way to immunize ourselves is to remove the inner limitations from our spiritual roots, the inner weeds. Instead of instinctive eye for an eye retaliation, what about spiritual eye for an eye prayer. The next time you pass by a weed that appears to be out of place in the garden, why not root it out and shed a tear in the Creators direction. He will shower us all with an ocean of tears back, transforming inner weeds into the most beautiful heavenly blooms.
