Funeral Announcements Joan Frances Roberts, age 74, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Sunday at her home Sunday, May 11. The family will receive friends Wednesday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Mark Bass officiating. Randy George Lands, age 44 of Knoxville,passed away Friday, May 9. Funeral Arrangements are as Follows: Thursday, in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tennessee. Brummitt, age 76 of Harriman, passed away Sunday May 11.He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Glenn worked for Tennessee Highway Patrol for 12 years before going to work as a security officer at TVA until his retirement. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Faye Elizabeth Roach. George Oliphant, age 91, passed away Monday May 12. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 where he became an airplane pilot. George served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. The family will receive friends and relatives 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM Friday, at Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, Oak Ridge, TN. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the church followed by interment at Oak Ridge Memorial Garden. Weatherford Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Bertha Sue Vanhuss, age 62, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, May 10. The family will have a graveside service 11:00 am, Friday, at Grandview Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. Amos Joshua Van Hall, age 38, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, May 12. He served with the US Army from 1994 – 2003 as a Military Police Officer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6 – 7pm at Ridgepoint Church, in the Solway Community. The memorial service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Robert Melton officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the TN Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
