Funny Pridgen event today – After church today I came home for my Sunday nap. I’m sleep when one of the kids come up and tell me that the gas grill has blown off the back porch and out into the yard. I just purchased the grill this year so I tell Monique I am going to go out and pick it up – she says “no” she will pick it up. I sternly and directly say, I will pick it up. She leaves the bedroom and goes downstairs and starts vacuuming. I lay in bed most of the day and tonight Monique is looking out the bedroom window toward where the grill should have landed and it reminds me I have to go outside to get the grill. I start getting out of bed and she asks where I’m going? I tell her Im getting dressed so that I can get the grill. She cracks up laughing, I don’t know the joke, she continues to laugh and then says – and I quote, “boy I got that grill up earlier”. When? Where was I? She then goes on to say, when I went downstairs I turned on the vacuum and had the kid push it so you would think I forgot and wouldn’t know I went out to pick it up myself. She is still laughing.
