Funny how we ignore some things despite being told it could be dangerous. Thats why we need to watch videos like this one. Also, i think it would be helpful if petrol pumps told people why they cant use their phones there. Its simple... petrol / diesel being quite volatile, there are constant fumes in the air at a petrol pump (you often see those fumes as they cause a mirage like effect) These fumes are just as combustible as the liquid fuels and even a small static charge from your cell phone can set it on fire and the flames could travel backlward into the petrol tank leading to such an explosion (your mobile battery is a source of electric charge ultimately, although miniscule). In fact not using your phone at a petrol pump is inadequate precaution. Ideal is to switch it off completely before entering the pump.
