Funny thing happened on the way to Saturn Nursing Home this morning. I was hauling 7 kids from Sunday School to Saturn Nursing Home for our annual trip to hand out cards and gift bags to the residents. Traffic was pretty heavy due to one lane being closed. The vehicle in front of me slammed on his brakes. I slammed on mine and stopped. I looked in the rear view mirror just in time to see the Chevy Tahoe behind me hit us and shove us into the Navigator in front of us. We are all safe and unhurt. And if youre keeping track of our boring life, this will be the third time the Pilot will have been in the body shop since the end of June. God must have been in this accident because the driver behind me and the driver in front of me were both members of Little Rock AME Zion Church and were on their way to their services. The guy behind me plays electric guitar in their praise team and the driver in front is the drummer. We exchanged info, chatted and talked to the CMPD officer that came and took our statements. The whole conversation was pleasant. As we were winding down, I asked if we could pray together and they said Of course! So I led us in a short prayer, thanking God for keeping us all safe and uninjured. We parted company smiling and shaking hands. Ill probably never see these guys again, but its cool to know I got to connect with two brothers in Christ on this side of Heaven who I may not see again until we all get there. God is good!!! The kids were all fine and got to the Nursing Home to spread some Christmas cheer. The Pilot can be fixed. Again. #MERRYCHRISTMAS
