Funny who you meet in your cab. Just pootling down to union office, hand goes out, pull over. Man jumps in says, Neptune street please. Noticing his lapel badge unite I go into overdrive. how are you brother ? Brother ? he replies. Yes, brother , I repeat showing him my unite i.d. Thats it, into full blown union discussion. Point is, I learn that the gent is a convenor for shipping, canals, docks etc based at Union Hq. End of journey he pays up with good tip too and exiting cab comes to my window and says, you ever need us brother, we will stand shoulder to shoulder with you ! What more can you say to that? Funny who you get in your cab......
