Funnyman Stephen Colberts popular TV show, The Colbert Report, aired its final episode last night. Colbert will be hosting The Late Show next year when David Letterman retires. He often wraps poignant thoughts in a humorous delivery, addressing tough topics and controversial news. Here is one of those snarky Colbert quotes that we might be able to appreciate: If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesnt help the poor, either weve got to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or weve got to acknowledge that he commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition; and then admit that we just dont want to do it.
