Funtastic is almost over so I must cue this up for the ball players before they leave... The Vernon music lineup this year and in past years is pretty weak may I suggest that they try to get Mr.Fogerty to play next year for a change up? There are only so many years you can hear Trooper, April Wine, Loverboy, Nazareth, etc.... In my view the musical lineups they have selected for the majority of the past Funtastic festivals have been very predictable and not very enticing at all. Some will say the festival has been jam packed every year - my counter is you could put the Irish Rovers or The Muppets on a stage with a bunch of drunk baseball players and it would still be jam packed. Last year was the only year in recent memory that they actually put something a little more cutting edge and modern in for headliners (Big Wreck & Theory of a Deadman) but then the music went back to the old standbys (see above). Over the years the audience at Funtastic has been moving from a 1970s/Early 1980s music loving crowd towards a younger 1980s/1990s crowd and thus the music should reflect that a bit more. I know Fogerty is from the same time period too but hes never been here for Funtastic but it would be a nice change from the usual suspects that seem to always get the call to play the festival.
