Further news from the bookstore where YOU ALL SPENT SO MUCH MONEY the other weekend: Some of you beautiful people wanted to put money in my hands but didnt need books right at the moment. That was AWESOME and what I suggested was that you buy gift certificates for local schools. And you did. It was a real pleasure to tell the library people at Sitton Elementary School and James John School that they had substantial credits available for buying books. What I just unpacked was a couple dozen brand new copies of bright, fun picture books and early readers for Sitton, selected by their media specialist because they were not otherwise included in any budget and the children beg for them. You made it easy for our elementary librarians to engage and delight our neighbourhood kids and you let me be a part of it. Thank you. In the nuts-and-bolts news, I have been mostly quiet for days now because I am processing the enormous number of in-store and online special orders. If you havent heard from me, you are about to, because I am getting to the bottom of it, with some help from Sommer and the inimitable Steve.
