Fwd: [Sept. 2] Remembering the 3rd year of the Gureombi fence forcefully built in 2011 It was Sept. 2, 2011 when more than 1,000 mainland policemen invaded the village and forcefully set up the fence around the Gureombi Rock coast, the spiritual home of the villagers, to build the naval base. About seven months later, a part of the Gureombi Rock was blasted, which lingered for two months. 35 people were arrested on Sept. 2 alone. Seven people were imprisoned for protest during the period. Along with March 7, 2012, the starting day of the Gureombi Rock blast, Sept. 2, 2011 is the date that we will remember for a long time. A collection of peoples photos and writings on the day.
