G.A. ==> 12 Jan 2014 1. IRDA slapped a fine Rs.12 crores on 12 Insurance companies during 2012-13. These 12 insurance companies include ICICI Prudential Life and HDFC Life also. These companies have to be paid for the failure to comply with various provisions of the insurance Act 1938. ICICI Prudential Life had paid Rs.1.18 crores and HDFC Paid Rs.1.47 crores. For violation of various guidelines PNB MetLife has to pay Rs.76 lakhs. During 2012-13, Tata AIA had to pay a penalty of Rs.49 lakhs. 2. In MSME sector, Best Bank Award achieved by Bank of Baroda.
