Since the bands first appearance at ‘The Kosciusko Chalet” in the late 1960s, through its days in residence at ‘The Basement, Circular Quay, to its repeated visits to some of the worlds biggest jazz festivals, as well as via numerous best-selling albums, The Duck has secured its place as Australias best known and most popular jazz band. Many of Australias foremost musos have played with the group, and the line-up for the last few years boasts some amazingly versatile and crowd-pleasing artists, including Wil Sargisson (piano and keyboards), Willy Qua (tenor, alto and soprano saxes, plus drums and percussion), John Conley (double bass, bass guitar, and guitar), Richard Booth (saxes, clarinet, flutes, steel drum and badass bass), and Rodney Ford (drums, vocals and percussion.)
