GAME OVER. The bumbling and stumbling by the Obama Administration has undermined years of our efforts and trillions of dollars in the Middl East. You have to know when something has gone beyond the point of no return, and the Middle East is such a thing. Relations between the Saudis and the U.S. have soured in recent years. The U.S. upset them by abandoning a mutual ally in Egypt—Hosni Mubarak. Then, to make matters worse, the U.S. threw its weight behind the Muslim Brotherhood, with which the Saudis have had constant hassles, both at home and abroad. Then, when the Muslim Brotherhood was removed by the Egyptian military, the U.S. backed away from supporting the military, which is still a close friend of Saudi Arabia. Egypt has thus served to stress relations between the U.S. and the Saudi government. Yet, Egypt is only one problem of many.
