GATES A gate is an opening in a wall or fence through which people pass. In the old testament, nations mount magnificient gates to stop enemies from intrusion. On the gate, houses are built, where the armies lived. And before any nation could besiege the land, that nation must have conquered the enemies at the gate. In Psalm 24 vs 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye evalasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in There are spiritual gates too. These gates are called evalasting doors. They are mounted by the kingdom of darkness to stop the saints from possessing their possession; the armies guilding these gates also ensure their kingdom is not depopulated. We have financial gate, ministerial gate, marital gate, health gate, e.t.c. When a gate is shut against a person, he finds it difficult to make headway in that area of life. The armies that guild spiritual gates are called heads. They are the powers attached to a person before his head came out of the womb. They capitalise on ones history or past. They could capitalise on- ancestral curses or covenants, a particular order of problem that follows a family, the consequence of the evil of ones fore-fathers, star quenchers, wrong choices and mistakes, delay, failure at the edge of testimony. For instance, if the spirit of anger is found in a persons history, even when the person becomes a pastor, if he doesnt deal with it, these armies at the gate will use it to destroy the ministry. Jesus identified one of these gates in Matthew 16 vs 18 And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The gate Jesus was reffering to here, was the powers that may hinder Peter from fufilling his calling. Jesus decided to address it at the start, because, these gates have no respect for preachers. They only respect the person who destroys them, or orders them to open. When you see a person, who has a great influence on people, suddenly misbehaves, and loses his influence; if you can look closely, youll find these armies of darkness at work. When a preacher with great credential, suddenly misbehaves and people begin to accuse him; if you can look closely, that misbehaviour would have been practised by his ancestors or relatives; and because he failed to deal with it, the armies of darkness capitalise on it. To deal with these gates, well use the name of Jesus. PRAYERS 1. Daddy, thank you for your word today 2. Angels of the Living God, begin to contend with my contenders 3. Anything the enemies have planted in me, to fight against me, catch fire. 4. I bind you spirit of delay and testimony prolonger 5. You evalasting doors, hear the word of the Lord, be opened by fire. 6. Any chain tieing by blessings, i lose it now.
