GAUTENG OFFICE OF THE PREMIER POST: PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR: STATE LAW REF-05584 Centre: Johannesburg Directorate: State Law Advice Salary: R 183 438 per annum (plus benefits) REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 certificate and 1 year Secretarial Certificate plus 1-3 years working experience in Office Administration. Candidate must be computer literate (MS Office). Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, time management skills and resilience are key. The candidate must be systematic, organized and assertive and have above average general insight. Driver’s licence and work experience in government will be an added advantage. Ability to work under pressure is important. DUTIES: The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following: Provide secretariat services to operations of the Directorate. Attend to all incoming and outgoing documents, telephone, faxes and emails. Manage the diary of the Director in the Directorate. Assist with the arrangement of both internal and external meetings (if and when necessary). Ensure proper filing of documents, controlling of stationary, collating of information and documents and maintaining updates of relevant information. Conduct initial synthesis and analysis of data and/or information. Provide administrative support in respect of co-ordination of meetings, workshops, and other forums, taking minutes, data capturing, logistics and procurement. Prepare documents for meetings and track decisions made. Support the Director in budget management, financial management and operations management. NOTES: The successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment contract and conclude an annual performance agreement with the relevant Authority within one (1) month upon commencement of duty. The recommended candidate will be subjected to security clearance. Qualifications will be verified (It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority-SAQA). The incumbent of the post will be required to disclose his/her financial interest in accordance with the prescribed regulations.
