GAZA: The UN Security Council expressed its grave concern regarding the deterioration of the situation in Gaza and the loss of civilian lives in a statement released today. The council called on Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas to engage in efforts to achieve a durable ceasefire based on the Egyptian initiative.
