GDS Sophomores Speech Lands Her Competing at District Level Following a successful speech at both the club and zone level, sophomore, Claire Lamadrid has been selected to compete at the district level of the Optimist International Oratorical Competition! The district composes half of the state and this is the furthest that a GDS student speaker has made it in the competition in the past five years! Claire has been speaking on the topic of How My Passions Impact the World speaking about a combination of her passions for biology and the Spanish language.
