GEM AND MINERAL COMMUNITY: I see alot of people in the community selling and wrapping diamonds, do any of you folks take the time to ensure that you are buying conflict free diamonds? I realize there is a premium on certified material, but really is it worth perpetuating slavery and the terrible acts that come from these mining practices? Please please choose to buy consciously. There are many minerals more amazing and rare, even with higher refractive indices. If you are a collector or on the consumer side at all please take the time to ask about sourcing and buy clean stones. Im going to be researching mines and their respective practices so that no stones i work with are in any way involved in questionable practices. anybody with information on this, please share, id love to start a dialogue and bring more integrity to our community as a whole.
