GENE PITNEY Gene Francis Alan Pitney an American singer-songwriter, musician, and sound engineer. Pitney charted 16 Top-40 hits in the U.S., four in the Top 10. In the UK he had 22 Top-40 hits, and 11 singles in the Top Ten. He also wrote the early 1960s hits Rubber Ball recorded by Bobby Vee, Hes a Rebel by the Crystals, and Hello Mary Lou by Ricky Nelson. In 2002, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. LEO SAYER Leo Sayer is a British singer-songwriter, musician, and entertainer whose singing career has spanned four decades. Sayer was a top singles and album act on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1970s. His first seven hit singles in the United Kingdom all reached the Top 10 – a feat first registered by his one-time manager, Adam Faith. GRACE JONES Grace Jones is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model, record producer, and actress. At 13 she moved with her siblings to their parents home in Syracuse, New York. Jones started out as a model, initially in New York state, then in Paris, working for Yves St. Laurent, Claude Montana, and Kenzo Takada, and appearing on the covers of Elle, Vogue, and Stern working with Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, and Hans Feurer. In 1977, she scored Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart with Pull Up to the Bumper, Ive Seen That Face Before, Private Life, Slave to the Rhythm and Im Not Perfect. Her albums include Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Slave to the Rhythm (1985).
