GENERAL ARTICLES BY SAI DHAM MEMBERS: NAMASTE We in India people greet each other with folded hands, which we call ‘Namaste’. It is a simple gesture of greeting the Lord and All Mighty and to one another too. ‘Namaste’ means I bow to Thee in Salutation with all my heart and mind. In this we press both the palms and join the five fingers of the right hand affectionately. It is known that the reflex points of our mind and body are located in our both hands; these, thus, get pressed against each other. Then thereby while pressing them, activate all of them in self love, each time we say ‘Namaste’. Thus when we join both the hands in ‘Namaste’ mudra is kind of meditation which activates our bio-energy switches which enlightens us. Silent clapping is also a sort of ‘Namaste’ mudra. During ‘Namaste’ meditation daily for five minutes will boost brain, power spiritual intelligence and will not suffer from any ailment. - Padma Sharma
