GENESEE COUNTY/Alexander Farm worker killed in hay baler accident The Genesee County Sheriffs Department is investigating a fatal farm accident that occurred about 6:00 p.m. this evening in Alexander. The accident occurred just north of Stroh road in a field off of Rt. 98. A farmer and his staff were using a tractor with an attached hay baler and they noticed the baler was not releasing. The farmer and his staff attempted to correct the problem and a male subject became caught up in the baler as they were attempting to fix it. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Genesee County Sheriffs Office the baler was a newer model. The Sheriffs Office continues to investigate at this hour.
