GENESEO: The Livingston County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of 4 people for trafficking narcotics in Livingston County after several months of investigation. Those arrested are: Zachary J. Hughes, age 28 from Caledonia, was arrested and charged with Criminal Sale of Marihuana 4th (3 counts) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (3 counts). Hughes was arraigned in Caledonia Village Court by Justice McKay and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff on $5,000 cash bail. William T. Clevenger, age 32 of Dansville, was arrested on a Superior Court Warrant and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th and criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th. Clevenger was arraigned in Livingston County Court and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff on $15,000 cash bail. John D. Thornton, age 37 of Mount Morris, was arrested and charged with criminal sale of marihuana 4th, endangering the welfare of a child, and unlawful possession of marihuana. Thornton was arraigned in Leicester Town Court in front of Justice White and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff on $1,000 cash bail. Jeremy T. Smith, age 21 of Nunda, was arrested and charged with criminal sale of marihuana 5th and unlawful possession of marihuana. Smith was arraigned in Mount Morris Village Court by Justice Glanville and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff on $500 cash bail. The Livingston County Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the following police agencies: The Livingston County Sheriffs Office, Avon Police Department, Caledonia Police Department, DEA, Geneseo Police Department, Mount Morris Police Department, New York State Park Police, Nunda Police Department, ICE and the Livingston County District Attorneys Office.
