GET A REVELATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!! Do you understand that you have right standing with God? Do you understand that Jesus gained you entrance into the very presence of God just the same as He has. Do you understand that God expects to see you in that throne room just the same as He expects to see Jesus there? Do you understand that He expects for you to come and to ask for what you need and expect to get it? Do you understand were you stand in the heart of God??!! * 1 Corinthians 15:34 A. Righteousness means right standing with God. B. We have been made to have right standing through Jesus being made sin. C. Paul is commanding the Body of Christ to awake to righteousness and sin not. D. The Christian principles revealed to Paul by Jesus were a revelation of his right standing with the God of this universe. E. The New Testament is a revelation of our standing with God the Father. 1. We have the ability to stand in His presence as though sin has never occurred. 2. We have the ability to stand in the presence of God without condemnation, without fear, and with a sense of belonging. F. The New Testament is a revelation of who we are in Christ. 1. Righteousness gives you certain rights and privileges. 2. You are a citizen of God’s kingdom with the New Testament as your Bill of Rights. 3. You have the right to: a. Prosper, b. Divine health, c. Resist the devil and him flee, d. Go before the throne of God boldly and obtain mercy, e. Whatever you ask the Father in the Name of Jesus receive. G. The greater the revelation, the sin, habits, things that dominate you become less and less tempting and less frequent. H. The moment the temptation comes laugh at the devil. I. Sin means to miss the mark. II. Compromise the Major Sin of the Body of Christ A. Compromise is not standing firm on the Word. B. Compromise is an avenue to do it some other way than the Word. C. Those who refuse to compromise God’s Word are referred to as the uncompromisingly righteous. D. Paul is implying if we awake unto our right standing with God we will not compromise any more. Why? E. A man that knows he has right standing with God knows how everything is going to turn out. F. I might get knocked down, but not out. (2 Corinthians 4:8) G. Our covenant, the New Testament, says one of our rights is to win. 1. Paul says, “Fight the good fight of faith.” 2. The good fight is the one you win. 3. It is not your nature to compromise; now you partake of God’s nature. 4. Regardless of what it looks like, you win because of your covenant. H. The greatest time to compromise is when you do all you know to do and it looks like it is still not working. 1. “I guess it is not God’s will;” this is compromise. 2. “God doesn’t love me as much as He loves Brother So-and-So;” this is compromise. 3. “It works for Sister So-and-So, but I’m not Sister So-and-So;” this is compromise. I. Paul said when you have done all to stand, stand! III. Knowledge of Righteousness Motivates You A. Knowing God is for me who would dare remain my enemy motivates you to keep on standing. * Psalms 112:6-8 B. God is painting a picture of the uncompromisingly righteous. C. The distinguishing marks of the uncompromisingly righteous are: 1. A fixed, settled heart, 2. Trusting in the Lord, 3. Not afraid or moved by evil tidings, bad news, 4. A heart established and steady, and 5. No fear “while” waiting to see his desire upon his adversaries. D. If you know what your contract says then you will not be moved to compromise. E. The “while” period is the time between thank you Father I believe I receive and there it is. 1. God is not time conscious. 2. Being time conscious is an immature image of faith life. 3. Become now conscious and the period between amen and there it is gets shorter. F. These distinguishing marks also describe what a believer should be doing during the “while” period. * Ephesians 6:10-13 IV. Even In a Standstill, Still Stand.* In conclusion be strong not in yourselves, but in the Lord. In the power of His boundless resources put on God’s complete armor so that you can successfully resist all the devil’s methods of attack. For our fight is not against any physical enemy. It is against organizations and powers that are spiritual. We are up against the unseen power that controls this dark world and spiritual agents from the very headquarters of evil. Therefore you must wear the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist evil in its day of power and that even when you have fought to a standstill you may still stand your ground. (Phillips translation of Ephesians 6:10- 13) A. A standstill is: 1. When neither side will back off, 2. A prayer request that has been met in the spirit world, but natural law tries to keep it from becoming reality. B. Somebody will eventually compromise, but it should not be the Christian. C. Paul said when you have fought to a standstill, stand your ground. D. Knowing what God’s Word says about the situation will motivate you not to compromise. E. What does God say when we get in that standstill position? * Psalms 34: 7-10, 15, 17, 19 1. His eyes are toward and ears are open to the uncompromisingly righteous. 2. He hears and delivers me out of all my distress and troubles. 3. Many evils confront the consistently righteous, but the Lord delivers me out of them all. V. Put on the Whole Armor of God-Stabilize Yourself A. The armor consists of the: 1. Helmet of salvation, 2. Breastplate of righteousness, 3. Your loins gird about with the truth, 4. Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel, 5. The shield of faith designed to quench every fiery dart, 6. The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. B. The righteous excel under the most severe pressure by leaning hard on their right standing with God. C. The point at which you think I cannot stand anymore is a good indication Satan has fired his best shot if this one does not get you, he is finished. D. Start praising God and your enemies will be turned back. (Psalms 9:1-3) E. The righteous will never be forsaken and his seed will never beg for bread. (Psalms 37:25) F. The righteous man that knows he has right standing with God will be stable. G. When God is for you who dares be against you. (Romans 8:31) H. Awake to your righteousness; lean hard on your rights and privileges as a child of God. I. Compromise will become a thing of the past. IT IS TIME TO GET A REVELATION OF YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!!
