GET YOUR FLU SHOT! There is a ton of misinformation out there about the Influenza vaccine and people need to know that although certain strains of the virus are not covered by the vaccine, the vaccine does help to minimize the duration and potency of the viruses not included in the cocktail. Influenza can lead to Pneumonia which can be a very serious medical condition (ask my father who developed Pneumonia this year). Pneumonia is the leading cause of death in children 5 years and under. The risks of not getting your flu shot far out weigh the risk of getting it. IT DOES NOT CAUSE AUTISM! This has been zero correlation between flu vaccines (or any vaccines) and autism. Also, you cannot get the flu from the vaccine. It is a dead form of the virus and cannot get you sick. Many people may feel an autoimmune response to the vaccines, but this is by far better than getting the flu. We are seeing an incredible amount of influenza cases in Michigan so go get vaccinated if you havent already done so.
