GETTING SOMETHING FOR NOTHING IS ENABLING... Just heard these words from actress Stacey Dash in a radio interview with Brian Kilmeade. Stacey explained how being enabled is bad for the soul and can lead to depression, feelings of inferiority, abuse, and a dead-end, dependent life. (She noted Ashton Kutcher said something similar: Opportunity looks like hard work.) You might remember Stacey caught a lot of heat for having the audacity to tweet her support for Mitt Romney for president because his belief system better matched hers. Stacey sounds like a hard work and bootstraps kinda gal, and apparently that doesnt jibe with some parts of the population who think everyone should goosestep in the same direction (especially if they are black Latina, as Stacey is). BIG QUESTION: When did people become TARGETS for hate and intimidation simply for expressing a different political point of view? But growing up in the South Bronx, Stacey said, I dont scare easy. The world can use more Stacey Dashes who have the political COURAGE to stand up for what they believe in. My idol. :)
