GFA ELECTIONS I seriously dont get this school of thought no matter how hard they try to teach me That anybody who is interested in the FA presidency seat must make it public and stop hiding, as they put it. My question is, who should those prospective candidates make themselves available to??? or declare their intentions to??? Is there any electoral commission at the FA that has started receiving applicants? Because it is only when a person picks up a form that he/she becomes a candidate and thereby making it officially public. You dont need posters, T shirts and radio jingles to win the GFA seat. And the argument will be more educative and essential when as a journalist, you make reference to past FA elections to ascertain who and who filed their nominations and WHEN they did that. Im not sure KN printed T shirts before he declared his intent in 2005, did he? He could have declared it long enough becuase apparently he was an acting chair but he waited till nominations were opened. So why will people wanna see who will contest who with some over 6 months to the elections? How can you compare a Football Association Elections to National political elections and its discourse? And moreso, I believe KN should advise his PRO presenters to keep drumming home what and what they ought to do and make right. Make a public admission of what and what are going wrong and emphasise on the programmes and grand schemes been up in place turn around our dwindling football fortunes that merely thinking about the next elections. It doesnt help their evangelism at all. Their communication needs to be restrategised. In any case, if youre doing the right thing you fear no competitor in the next election, do you? So they must stsrt doing the right things than fighting phantom candidates. Its just like being hu ted by your own ghost. This is a free advise.
