GHETTO FLOWERS BY George Jenkins A rose grew through the concrete I see the sun that one root said The other roots was blocked cold dirt and heavy concrete block the light I see the sun so I must grow Stop lying you dont see the sky let alone the sun But that little rose push on Besides it was weeds who tried with all their might to block its way But the little flower continue to grow Soon it felt the air Soon it saw the blue sky Then it heard a honeybee which took its nectar It needed its substance This is a reason for roses God love feed everyone in need So love grows everywhere Where there is love theres achievement Look up love here come the sun Even when God calls us home Someone will say with love You was a rose from which love did grow Even if you grew from the Ghetto ©2014
